Prague, Czech Republic | 12–13 May 2026
The SUCCEED Governing Committee, joined by members of the Advisory Board, convened in Prague on 12 and 13 May 2026 for an intensive two-day strategic planning session held on the sidelines of the TAFISA World Congress. The meeting brought together key stakeholders to advance the operationalisation of the framework and strengthen its foundations for the road ahead.
Bringing the Theory of Change to Life
A central focus of the Prague meeting was the operationalisation of SUCCEED's Theory of Change, the process of translating the framework's overarching vision and principles into concrete, actionable programming. Participants worked through common indicators and those most relevant to their individual programmes, as part of a broader commitment to robust monitoring and evaluation of the capacity building initiatives housed within the SUCCEED framework. This shared approach to measurement will be critical to demonstrating impact and ensuring accountability across the consortium.
Defining and Communicating the Value Proposition
Participants dedicated significant discussion to articulating SUCCEED's value proposition, both for internal consortium members and for external partners and prospective funders. Building a shared understanding of what SUCCEED offers, what it stands for, and the impact it generates is essential to the framework's long-term relevance and resource mobilisation.
Strengthening the Consortium
The meeting examined ways to deepen cohesion within the consortium and to sharpen the collective presentation of SUCCEED to external audiences. Discussions explored how members can align more effectively around shared goals, improve communication and coordination, and collectively advocate for the framework's growth and sustainability.
Capacity Building Progress and Updates
The Prague meeting provided a rich opportunity to take stock of progress across SUCCEED's capacity building portfolio. Members shared updates from a wide range of active initiatives, including:
- Girls Positive and Safe Coaching Pathway
- The TAFISA Certified Leadership Course
- TheSportanddev MOOC
- Remedy's Fundraising Course
- Espana se Mauve SIMS (Sport Inclusion Media Seal)
- Sport for Life's Physical Literacy programme
- other TAFISA initiatives: INTERACT+, M2030 webinars, and REACH
Members also received an update on the SUCCEED framework itself, which continues to evolve as a reference point and practical resource for organisations committed to capacity building in sport. A significant milestone was the announcement of the forthcoming launch of KESCAB Hub, the Knowledge and Experience Sharing Capacity Building Hub which will serve as the SUCCEED hub, bringing together initiatives, facilitators, and a shared information platform under one digital roof.
Looking Ahead
The Prague session demonstrated the strength of the SUCCEED community and the depth of commitment among its members and advisors. The discussions and decisions taken will shape the next phase of the framework's development.
